The Roosevelt Baths, Saratoga Springs, NY Saratogan Bath

If you have never been ... There was a time when going to Taking The Cure was as fashionable as Chanel and 5th Avenue.  Est.in 1935, these baths were designed to turn cold mineral water into a warm healing experience. Originally patients would visit Saratoga for 21 days, soak in these baths 20 minutes a day, enjoy Spa foods, and drink bubbly Spa Tap water. Nowadays the Spa offers modern Spa services including the original Baths for 40 minutes.

My experience...

The Bath. These deep original bath tubs are each situated in a private room for your experience. My first time into the bath I was warned the bottom of this deep tub was well below floor level, so step in with caution. I used cation, AND when in and nestled below the water surface my body experienced so many releases, nervous system, joints, spine, I was stunned! My second visit I am sure that I fell asleep after 2 minutes. What a way to zone out completely. My third visit, feeling a bit experienced, I drank the Spa Tap Water and then soaked. WOW! I knew then I was addicted, really addicted. And Healing, well that will be another post to come.

So addicted in fact, I travel to Saratoga Springs many times a year to drink from the local Springs and Take The Cure. If you are a novice and want to just feel better from life's challenges and stresses or if you have been sick and need some of The Cure, I recommend a 3 day stay in Saratoga Springs. If you cannot make it there but want a bit of the experience try our bath .
